Kiplin HallIn 2013/14 Emma worked as Historic Buildings Consultant/Researcher for the Kiplin Trust, curators of the fantastic Kiplin Hall near the River Swale in North Yorkshire, to deliver the Heritage Lottery-funded Charting Chipeling project. Kiplin Hall sits in a
landscape rich in archaeological remains dating from the times of the early hunter-gatherers through to the monastic grange which predated the construction of the well-known Jacobean hall. The project involved local community volunteers, students and schoolchildren taking part in a wide variety of archaeological, historic building recording and archival activities. Jim Brightman of Solstice Heritage was the Lead Archaeologist on the project while laser scanning was undertaken by specialist Michael Lobb.

Archaeo-Environment Ltd: Contribution to Desk-Based assessment of site located close to Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland. Services included historic research, identification of heritage assets and archaeological features, and impact on setting.

Heritage Craft Alliance Ltd: Design and implement several courses (up to NVQ level 6) on working with historic buildings and environments, incl. house histories. Also consult on tendering for several new courses and HLF funding bids.

St Neot parish church, Cornwall: First systematic survey of fabric, incl. alleged 14thC shrine/wall painting located in chantry of church. Lectures, publications (Church Archaeology) and interpretation generated as a result.

850th Anniversary Medieval Fair, St Margaret's Church, Durham: Surveyed/assessed site then held lecture/tours on architectural history/construction phases. Coordinated stained glass exhibition showcasing display from Durham University, inc. interpretation panels and exhibition publications.
